About this source

FMCSA carrier safety, crash, and inspection records for vetting third-party haulers. No user credentials: PatchOps supplies QCMobile's required WebKey; DOT Socrata reads are keyless. CARRIER: getCarrierByDOT, searchCarriersByName, getCarrierByDocket. SAFETY: getCarrierBasics (BASIC scores), getCarrierAuthority (authority + insurance), getCarrierOOS. HISTORY: getCrashes (all-time), getInspections (rolling ~3yr). RULES: 1. DOT number is primary; resolve it with searchCarriersByName. 2. Subsidiaries can have different DOT numbers; name search returns up to 20 matches. 3. Crashes are all-time; inspections cover ~3 years. Zero rows is valid. 4. BASIC scores can be stale (runDate surfaced) — don't read percentiles as current.
