Setup
A few steps to connect your AI agents to CFTC Commitments of Traders.

Toggle Connector On
Open /mcp and turn on CFTC Commitments of Traders with the energy switch.

Add the PatchOps endpoint to Claude, ChatGPT, or your MCP client.

Ask About Positioning
Ask how managed money is positioned in WTI or Henry Hub, or pull weekly COT history.

Pick the tool your team uses for the exact setup steps.

Open Claude settings
Launch Claude, click the profile button (bottom left), and go to Settings.

Access connectors
Open the Connectors tab, scroll to the bottom, and click “Add custom connector”.

Name your connector
Enter any name you’d like for this connector.

Get the connector URL
Log in to PatchOps, open the /mcp page, and copy the connector URL you want to use.

Add the connector
Paste the URL into the “Remote MCP server URL” box and click Add.

Start using
Your CFTC Commitments of Traders connector is ready to use in Claude.
